Dr. Susan Hall Senior dosent en departementshoof
Dr Susan Hall is ʼn senior dosent in die Departement Filosofie en die Sentrum vir Toegepaste Etiek. Sy het haar PhD in 2012 onder die studieleiding van prof Anton van Niekerk afgehandel met ʼn proefskrif getiteld, ‘Harm and Enhancement: Philosophical and Ethical Perspectives’. Sy het ʼn studiebeurs vir haar PhD-studies van die Nagraadse Bestuurskool van die Universiteit Stellenbosch ontvang. In 2013 is sy as ʼn tydelike dosent aangestel en in 2015 het sy permanent by die Departement aangesluit. Haar primêre navorsingsbelangstellings lê op die gebied van bio-etiek, en spesifiek die etiek van menslike versterking en etiese kwessies wat met tegnologiese vordering verband hou. Sy werk tans aan etiese vraagstukke wat met die deelname van atlete met intersekstoestande aan sportkompetisies verband hou.
