Prof. J.P. Smit Professor
Prof JP Smit is ʼn professor in die Departement Filosofie. Hy het ʼn DPhil van die Universiteit Stellenbosch (in 2003 onder die studieleiding van AA van Niekerk afgehandel) en ʼn PhD van Cambridge (in 2013 onder die studieleiding van Simon Blackburn afgehandel). Die eerste tesis was oor metafisika; die tweede, oor die teorie van verwysing. Sy navorsingsbelangstellings is semantiek en die filosofie van ekonomie.
