Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences offers elective rotations to eligible international students for a minimum period of four (4) weeks in one academic department or division and a maximum period of eight (8) weeks, which may be taken in one or a suitable combination of two (2) academic departments/divisions.
Two options are available for international postgraduate students at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences:
- International postgraduate full degree (Masters and MPhil in Medicine) student
- International postgraduate elective student (visiting Registrar)

Liaison and global partnership engagement between the Faculty and international institutions.
Facilitating registration with the Health Professions Council of SA (HPCSA)
Facilitating registration with the National Department of Health Foreign Workers Management Programme (FWMP)
