At the heart of Stellenbosch University’s internationalisation objectives is to offer both SU Students and Staff transformative experiences through the various international mobility and global learning opportunities.
Below are progammes available to both staff and students at SU.
Opportunities For Students:
Registered Stellenbosch University students have access to a wide range of study abroad opportunities. These include semester exchange programmes, international summer or winter schools, and the option to apply for an independent travel bursary. The bursary supports students who wish to attend a course or summer school that is not hosted by an SU partner institution or is not directly funded by SU International.
Opportunities For Staff:
With an extensive network of partner institutions across six continents, Stellenbosch University offers life-changing international experiences not only for its students but also for its staff. SU staff benefit from global engagement opportunities both abroad—through exchanges, training, and academic collaborations—and at home, by hosting and interacting with international partners on campus.
