Course Description
It is increasingly expected of researchers to generate research funds. To do so, researchers need to acquire grant writing skills or hone the skills they already have. Although funding organisations and their application requirements differ, there are important elements expected by all funding agencies, whether it relates to small or to large grants. These elements will be addressed in these courses (English and French).

What “peer review” means
Why it is important to indicate impact and what funders mean by it

'n Intensiewe, navorsingsgeïnformeerde professionele ontwikkelingsprogram in hoër onderwysonderrig en -leer, gefokus op die versterking van onderriguitnemendheid, kurrikulumontwerp, assesseringspraktyk, digitale pedagogie en inklusiewe, sosiaal responsiewe onderwys. Die program ontwikkel reflektiewe, akademiese praktisyns deur betrokkenheid by die Akademieskap van Onderrig en Leer (AvO), wat bewysgebaseerde en kontekstueel responsiewe onderrigpraktyk ondersteun.
Programstruktuur::
Hierdie vyfdaagse program is ontwerp rondom gefokusde 90-minuut sessies wat ondersteun word deur gestruktureerde refleksie en doelgerigte rus. Die formaat handhaaf betrokkenheid, voorkom kognitiewe oorlading en moedig dieper leer aan. Refleksieperiodes help deelnemers om nuwe idees te internaliseer en dit toe te pas op hul toesighoudende praktyk. Die gebalanseerde daaglikse ritme ondersteun welstand, verminder moegheid en pas binne normale akademiese werkladings.

Aan die einde van die kursus sal deelnemers in staat wees om: Die Akademieskap van Onderrig en Leer (AvO) te versterk; Institusionele kapasiteit vir hoëgehalte, inklusiewe en navorsingsgeïnformeerde onderrig te bou; Kurrikulumontwerp en konstruktiewe belyning te verbeter; Outentieke en transformerende assesseringspraktyke te ontwikkel; Digitale pedagogieë en gemengde leerstrategieë te integreer; Reflektiewe en navorsingsgeïnformeerde akademiese praktyk te bevorder.
Target Audience:
The courses are designed for academics, postgraduate students, and professionals seeking to develop or strengthen their grant proposal writing skills, particularly those involved in research, project development, or funding applications.
Purpose:
The courses equip participants with practical skills to develop clear, competitive grant proposals by understanding core components, funding expectations, and common pitfalls. It also provides strategies for structuring proposals, demonstrating impact, and navigating peer review to strengthen the likelihood of securing funding
The ADA reserves the right to cancel any course should the minimum required number of participants not be reached. In such cases, all fees already paid will be fully refunded, or where possible, delegates will be offered the option to transfer to an alternative course.
