Course Description
An intensive, research-informed professional development programme in higher education teaching and learning, focused on strengthening teaching excellence, curriculum design, assessment practice, digital pedagogy, and inclusive, socially responsive education. The programme develops reflective, scholarly practitioners through engagement with the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL), supporting evidence-based and contextually responsive teaching practice.
Course Outcomes:
At the end of the course, participants will be able to: Strengthen the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) Build institutional capacity for high-quality, inclusive, and research-informed teaching Enhance curriculum design and constructive alignment Develop authentic and transformative assessment practices Integrate digital pedagogies and blended learning strategies Foster reflective and research-informed academic practice
Programme Structure:
This five-day programme is designed around focused 90-minute sessions supported by structured reflection and purposeful rest. The format sustains engagement, prevents cognitive overload and encourages deeper learning. Reflection periods help participants internalise new ideas and apply them to their supervisory practice. The balanced daily rhythm supports well being, reduces fatigue and fits within normal academic workloads.
