Discover the Universe at the Physics Department's Open Day! Join us in the Merensky Building to view exciting research - from fundamental particles to the vast structure of the Universe. All are welcome - learners, parents, and teachers.

Speakers from all of our research focus areas — Astronomy and Astrophysics, Theoretical Physics, Laser Physics, and Nuclear Physics — will share insights into their respective fields, study options and current research. Guests will also have the opportunity to explore interactive physics demonstrations and take part in guided tours of our laboratories. The researchers and students leading the laboratory showcase and guided tours will be available during the refreshments session to answer questions and chat about their work, studying physics, and research opportunities within the department.

The Faculty of Science's student and academic affairs coordinator will provide information on enrolment into the physics programme and answer questions about studying physics at university level.
