About the nGAP Programme

The New Generation of Academics Programme (nGAP) forms part of the Staffing South Africa’s Universities’ Framework (SSAUF), approved by the Minister of Higher Education and Training in 2015. The programme supports the recruitment and development of early-career academics over a six-year period, enabling them to grow as well-rounded scholars through teaching, research and academic development.
