The Bachelor of Arts Honours in Language Practice programme trains you as a researcher in translation/interpreting and editing.

A further aim is to train you as a language practitioner in two of the following languages: Afrikaans, English, an African language, South African Sign Language, Chinese, French, Dutch and German.

Not all the language options will necessarily be offered each year. This programme is presented by means of lectures.

Please note that selection for postgraduate programmes is highly competitive. Meeting the minimum admission requirements does not guarantee admission to the programme.

Minimum toelatingsvereistes

A Bachelor’s degree with a language subject passed on third-year level with a final mark of minimum 60% or acceptance through the RPL process.
You must pass an entrance test.
A decisive interview can also be conducted with you.
