Biography

Tony Naidoo is 'n sielkundeprofessor en voormalige departementshoof aan die Universiteit Stellenbosch. Hy doseer gemeenskaps-, beradings- en loopbaansielkunde en is ook bekend vir 'n fokus op temas soos die politiek van die opleiding van sielkundiges, die relevansie van sielkunde in Suid-Afrika, loopbaanontwikkeling, implementering van gemeenskapsprojekte, sowel as die geskiedenis en filosofie van sielkunde. Tony is 'n bedrewe skrywer en bestuur 'n aantal gemeenskapsprojekte wat sy navorsing en onderrig inlig en lei.

Oor my navorsing

My dominante akademiese oriëntasie is kritiese gemeenskapsielkunde. Ek het 'n lewendige belangstelling in die kontekstuele of sosio-ekologiese begrip van gedrag en veral in die betrek van die bekommernisse van gemarginaliseerde groepe.

My navorsingsbelangstellings is georiënteer rondom 3 onderskeibare belangstellingsgebiede:

  • Kwessies wat verband hou met gemeenskapsfunksionering en welstand
  • Kwessies wat verband hou met loopbaanontwikkeling en -gedrag
  • Sake wat verband hou met die interaksie tussen mense en die natuur/omgewing
