Die Departement Bewaringsekologie en Entomologie, tesame met die program, word bestuur deur 'n diverse en dinamiese span wat bestaan uit akademiese personeel sowel as bedryfsbefondsde navorsingsvennote. Ons sterkpunt lê in ons passie vir ons individuele navorsingstemas en toewyding aan die gehalte-opleiding van jong professionele persone.
One of the strengths of the Department and an aspect that distinguishes us from other environmental programmes at Stellenbosch University and other universities is our strong and active linkage with industry partners. Several of our seconded staff members and research associates are funded by private companies. The benefit of these relationships is that we receive industry-funded research projects and postgraduate bursaries. More importantly, these relationships often lead to job opportunities for our graduates.
