The Department of Conservation Ecology and Entomology, along with the programme, is managed by a diverse and dynamic team that comprise of academic staff as well as industry-funded research associates. Our strength lies in our passion for our individual research themes, and commitment to the quality training of young professionals.
One of the strengths of the Department and an aspect that distinguishes us from other environmental programmes at Stellenbosch University and other universities is our strong and active linkage with industry partners. Several of our seconded staff members and research associates are funded by private companies. The benefit of these relationships is that we receive industry-funded research projects and postgraduate bursaries. More importantly, these relationships often lead to job opportunities for our graduates.
