International Student Organisation of Stellenbosch
International students are invited to become a member of the International Student Organisation of Stellenbosch (ISOS). This organisation is a great way to connect with both local and other international students during your time at SU.
What is ISOS?
ISOS was created specifically for SU's international students.
This organisation:
- Supports students during orientation and helps them navigate SU's essential services.
- Offers a vibrant programme of excursions, cultural experiences, and social events.
- Helps students discover more about South Africa, its people, and diverse cultures.
Membership is open to all international students and staff, and joining is easy! It is one of the best ways to make friends and feel at home at SU.
The ISOS Mission
- Promoting Cultural Understanding: Creating immersive experiences that deepen students' understanding of South Africa's rich cultural heritage, history, and diversity.
- Fostering Meaningful Connections: Facilitating social events that encourage genuine interactions between international students and local communities.
- Enhancing Experiential Learning: Curating authentic excursions that complement academic learning with real-world insights into South African life and society.
