The Department of Global Health brings together a diverse network of divisions, centres, and institutes united in their commitment to achieving equitable health outcomes. The Department of Global Health houses the divisions of Epidemiology and Biostatistics, Health Systems and Public Health, Human Nutrition, Disability and Rehabilitation Studies, Rural Health (Ukwanda) as well as the Centre for evidence-based healthcare and the Institute for Life Course Health Research

Our programmes

Undergraduate

Postgraduate Diploma

PhD

The PhD programmes offer advanced research opportunities in global health areas such as epidemiology, biostatistics and public health. They are designed for those who aim to contribute to research and innovation.

BSc Honours

The BSc Honours programmes, which include specialities like Underwater and Hyperbaric Medicine, offer advanced undergraduate training designed to deepen knowledge in niche areas of global health.

Masters

The Master’s programmes cater to diverse interests, from occupational medicine and communicable diseases to biostatistics and nutrition. These research-focused, coursework-based degrees prepare professionals for healthcare, public health and academic research.
