Division of Epidemiology and Biostatistics

The Division of Epidemiology and Biostatistics is dedicated to equipping students and professionals with the analytical skills to interpret complex data, identify trends, and develop effective interventions that improve community health. Our work is built on evidence-based methods and teaching practices that have directly informed public health policies and driven tangible impact in local, national, and global settings.

Our team played a pivotal role in developing epidemiological models that shaped national responses to significant health crises, and our pioneering research in non-communicable and infectious diseases has earned international acclaim. We boast state-of-the-art laboratories and dedicated research centres that facilitate interdisciplinary collaboration, allowing us to translate data into actionable solutions. By forging strong partnerships with local health authorities and global research networks, we ensure that our innovations are academically robust and practically transformative, paving the way for a healthier society.
