Henk Botha is a Professor in the Department of Public Law. He currently teaches Legal Philosophy and Interpretation of Enacted Law, and previously taught Constitutional Law. Before joining the Faculty of Law at Stellenbosch University in 2006, he was a professor of Constitutional Law at UNISA. Professor Botha is a member of the management committee of the Research Unit for Legal and Constitutional Interpretation and Theory (RULCI), which is a collaborative research project between the law faculties at Stellenbosch University and the University of the Western Cape. He is also one of the organisers of the biannual German-South African Dialogues on Democracy.
