Committees

The Quality Assurance Governance Committee oversees the quality assurance of key processes in the international qualifications that the SU-UIC is the external quality assurer of. The key function of the committee is to verify the validity and reliability of the results of the international qualifications. The oversight includes the related processes of the SU-UIC regarding specifically the international qualifications and that of the two working sub-committees, namely the Curriculum and Assessment Sub-committee and the Standardisation Sub-committee.

The Curriculum and Assessment Sub-Committee oversees and implements quality assurance measures specifically related to the curriculum frameworks, curricula and the assessment thereof for international qualifications. This also includes overseeing the work of the SU-UIC external moderators regarding the examination papers. The committee consists of subject specialists and curriculum and assessment experts.

The Standardisation Sub-Committee implements the standardisation policies and processes for the results of the subjects being examined under the international qualifications. Together with the Curriculum and Assessment Sub-Committee, this committee is responsible for maintaining standards of the international qualifications being quality assured by the SU-UIC. The committee consists specialists in statistics, mathematics, psychometrics and experts in standardisation processes.
