Koleka Mhlontlo is the accountant in our division responsible for liaising with students. She is the very crucial link between students and Financial Services, and for that, you require a specific skill set.

The main skills would be that you must be able to connect with the students, "speak their language", and have endless patience! Koleka has all of these, and she is a crucial part of our team. She shows a lot of enthusiasm and eagerness to help when she interacts with students (even on frustrating days when the queue outside her office is very long). She is always willing to provide training outside regular working hours to accommodate students, and the feedback on her training is consistently extremely positive.

Between training and assisting students daily, Koleka single-handedly reviews and approves all student expense claims, approves journals, and oversees other departments that are also her responsibility. She manages to juggle all these tasks with ease, a smile on her face and an infectious laugh. Koleka, thanks for being such a competent, valuable and enthusiastic link between Financial Services and the student community.
