Division Institutional Strategy, Research and Analytics

The Division Institutional Strategy, Research and Analytics (ISRA) plays a vital role in advancing institutional strategy and upholding informational integrity at Stellenbosch University (SU). We do this by managing and supporting the institutional strategy process; managing strategic and institutional projects and related processes; overseeing, unlocking, integrating and protecting institutional information; and fostering informed decision-making to serve SU’s vision.

Strategy process management

We are responsible for the management, coordination, alignment, evaluation and monitoring of the annual and cyclical processes that relate to SU’s strategy.

Strategic project and change management

We promote the successful delivery of strategic institutional projects

Information governance

We evaluate strategic options through policy research and development, implements an Information Management Framework, support the monitoring of institutional compliance, and manage responsibilities under relevant legislation (i.e. POPIA and PAIA).

Integrated data analytics

We uncover and analyse data, transforming it into integrated information that enhances strategic, tactical and operational decision making across the University.
