Priority is given to subsidizing publications in the field of Afrikaans or Dutch Linguistics and Language Control (which includes text editions), preferably works
on Afrikaans that relate to the synchronic or diachronic relationship between Afrikaans and Dutch. Publications on Dutch literature in which the relationship
between Dutch and Afrikaans is discussed will also be given priority.
The application must contain the objective, the table of contents and a 5000-word
summary of the book, accompanied by referee reports and a letter from the publisher in which a cost estimate and motivation for the need for the subsidy are contained, an undertaking is given to publish the work and the date of publication (no later than eighteen months after the date of submission of the application) is stated. Books published before the application deadline do not qualify.
A payment will be made after a copy of the published work has been provided to the Fund.

A subsidy is available for the organisation of local congresses or symposia on Dutch Studies. The application must contain the programme of the proposed

Resources for the teaching of Dutch Studies
Support is given for the purchase of literature and software that directly relates to the teaching of Dutch Studies. The nature, the use (e.g. number of students
reached) and the cost of the resources must be clearly specified in the application. The purchase of computer equipment and literature for research will not be supported.
Extraordinary applications
Well-motivated extraordinary applications that do not fall within the above categories will be considered.
Apart from the details required under each category, the applicant must include a short curriculum vitae. Only scientific publications (no reviews or popular articles) from the past two years must be mentioned.
Applicants must also indicate whether they have requested support from other sources for the specific need, whether they were successful in such requests, and, if so, the amount of this support.
