In 2025, the Finance Division wants to contribute to restoring trust in Higher Education in South Africa. EDUCAUSE, a nonprofit association in the United States whose mission is "to advance higher education through the use of information technology", indicated recently that higher education is facing a trust crisis, with public confidence declining sharply over the past decade. Their list of top issues in 2025 identifies key areas where institutions can restore trust by balancing two essentials: competence and care.
