Academic attire

Stellenbosch University introduced its new vibrant academic attire in December 2024, which serves as an extension of the institution’s visual identity. It is mandatory to wear the correct academic attire for your graduation ceremony. Academic attire will be available for all graduands and past graduates on campus to rent/buy from our supplier, Dippenaar & Reinecke, for the respective ceremonies, photos and private events.

Collecting your academic attire 

Dippenaar & Reinecke will be at the Athletics Refreshments Kiosk (number 2 on the parking map), adjacent to the Coetzenburg Athletics Stadium, from Friday, 20 March to Thursday, 26 March 2026. All collections and returns must be done at this venue during the times indicated below.
