South Africans celebrated Youth Day on 16 June. In opinion pieces for the media, staff and students at Stellenbosch University emphasised why it is important to pay more attention to the power of young voices, feeding the youth, repaying the debt to the youth of 1976, giving young people a seat at the table, and training the youth to become future science stars.
