The Faculty of Military Science offers a comprehensive residential study programme for candidate officers (COs and Midshipmen) as well as commissioned officers of the South African National Defence Force (SANDF). Delivered primarily at the South African Military Academy, residential studies combine full-time academic learning with structured military training, leadership development, and professional formation within a disciplined environment. This immersive model enables students to engage fully with both their academic programmes and the practical demands of military officership.
