International office staff from all four Western Cape universities gathered at Stellenbosch University on Thursday, attending an IEASA Regional Community of Practice meeting. IEASA is the International Education Association of South Africa, an organisation that promotes the internationalisation of higher education in the developing world. Hosted by Stellenbosch University International, delegates discussed international education trends and strategies. Topics up for discussion included the Impact Analysis of External Quality Assurance Processes of Higher Education Institutions (IMPALA) project as well as study abroad experiences.  There were also lessons on how to develop citizen leaders for social justice while achieving internationalisation at home.

Ms Huba Boshoff, Manager of the Centre for Partnerships and Internationalisation at Stellenbosch University International is currently one of seven members of IEASA'S national Management Council.
