The final round of the Western Province Score Sevens Series for clubs will take place this weekend and Steinhoff Maties are determined to walk away with the title.

The series started in October. Maties played 17 games and won 15 and are top of the standings for the weekend's playoffs.

All the matches will be played on the fields of Goodwood Rugby Club. Maties won the WP Club League for Sevens teams last year.

Maties' first game on Saturday is at 12:36 against Caledonian Roses. The next match against the winner of the battle between Goodwood and Macassar. Then comes the quarterfinals, semi-finals and final.

A WP Club Rugby 7s All Stars team will be announced following the tournament. There will also be a prize for Player of the Tournament. The All Star team will play against the South African Sevens team on 19 November.

Maties Sevens won both the USSA and Varsity Sports titles in the past year and were named Team of the Year at Maties Sport's recent awards evening.
