3rd Annual Urban Law & Sustainability Governance Public Lecture

Professor Anél du Plessis, Chair in Urban Law and Sustainability Governance and Professor Juanita Pienaar (Acting Dean of the Faculty of Law) cordially invite you to the 3rd Annual Urban Law & Sustainability Governance Public Lecture. This year's speaker is Professor Tracy-Lynn Field, Claude Leon Chair in Earth Justice and Stewardship and Director, Mandela Institute, University of the Witwatersrand. Professor Field will address the South African conception of the just transition, which captures the hope of a fairer and more sustainable future for all. In this lecture, Professor Field will explore the ethical, moral, and legal positions that can help in navigating the anxieties and securities that come with overwhelming change and keep us moored to the just transition’s promise.
