The Operations, Telematics Services and Projects (OTP) department within the Centre for Learning Technologies (CLT) focuses on several services and projects that provide access to education based on learning technologies.
With the Telematic Services offered, SU has provided students and learners with greater access to quality education. Telematic Services is revolutionising the way we educate by seamlessly blending technology and traditional teaching methods, enriching the academic offering at SU through the partnership with the Hybrid Learning unit at SU. The services are also available to all lecturers and external parties.
The successes of the Telematic Services resulted in the expansion of this service to grade 10 through 12 learners across South Africa through the Telematics Schools Project, which is a collaboration between the Western Cape Education Department (WCED) and the Centre for Learning Technologies.
