The Bachelor of Arts Honours in International Studies programme is offered full-time and consists of taught modules and a research assignment. Students undertake an intensive study of a number of selected focus areas in international studies. The following modules are offered:

The programme is aimed at training analysts with an in-depth understanding of South Africa's challenges within the context of the contemporary world order.

Minimum admission requirements

A Bachelor’s degree with Political Science or International Studies as major.
An average final mark of 67% for Political Science or International Studies or a said related discipline at third-year level is a minimum requirement.

The Department reserves the right to select the best applicants based on academic merit. A mark of 67% does not constitute automatic admission to the programme.
