The Operations, Telematics Services and Projects (OTP) team at the Centre for Learning Technologies (CLT) is responsible for the day-to-day operational management of the Centre. This includes oversight of financial management, facilities, systems and stakeholder relations as well as the coordination of projects and corporate social investment (CSI) initiatives.
As part of its service offering, the Centre provides a range of professional multimedia services designed to support and enhance learning and teaching. These services enable faculties to innovate, renew and digitise their academic content, which ensures a more engaging and accessible learning experience.
In addition to the above, the OTP team manages an integrated information system that supports the coordination of all services and facilities by tracking activities through a central operational platform. This ensures efficiency and accountability.

Corporate Social Investment (CSI) Initiatives
Skills Development Workshops in Vulnerable Communities
Telematic services, in partnership with various stakeholders, host skills development workshops in vulnerable communities that include topics such as:
- Social media influence and impact – Positive and negative brand/self-image, social media influence and cybersecurity;
- Girls empowerment – Role of women in society, self-image, The Power of Purpose;
- Boys empowerment – The role of a/by man at home, culturally and in society, toxic masculinity and finding your purpose;
- Leadership, empathy and emotional intelligence; and
- Entrepreneurship and financial literacy.
Siyanqoba Crèche
Stellenbosch University’s CLT took the Siyanqoba Crèche, situated at the heart of Kayamandi, under its wing back in 2016. The relationship has been a source of joy for the CLT team, who have reached out to the children in a series of yearly events such as Valentine’s days, Mandela days and Christmas parties.
The crèche looks after approximately 60 children, and they not only receive monthly supplies and stationery from CLT, but also a dose of love and care from the entire team.
