Our range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes prepare students for leadership, ministry, research and engagement with society. Through critical theological reflection and interdisciplinary learning, students develop the skills needed to contribute meaningfully to faith communities and the wider world.

Undergraduate Programmes

Undergraduate programmes in theology provide a strong foundation in biblical studies, Christian thought and the practice of faith within communities and society. These programmes prepare students for ministry, youth work, community leadership and further postgraduate study.

BDiv - Bachelor of Divinity

The BDiv programme prepares students for ministry and leadership within churches and faith communities. It provides in-depth theological formation, including the study of biblical languages and theological disciplines.

Postgraduate Diplomas

The Postgraduate Diplomas offer students from diverse academic backgrounds an opportunity to gain a foundational understanding of theological disciplines. It can also serve as a bridge into further postgraduate theological studies.

Admission to programmes in the Faculty of Theology follows the requirements of Stellenbosch University.
