Education Students’ Regional Research Conference: Shared Spaces; Contesting Voices
The 2016 campaign for the Education Students’ Regional Research Conference (ESRRC) with the theme "Shared Spaces; Contesting Voices" was launched recently.
The conference is run by students for students. Each year postgraduate students from the four Western Cape Universities (UCT, SU, UWC and CPUT) meet, often for the first time, to share their work in progress or final research findings with an audience of their peers, academics and practitioners in the field.
The 2016 conference will be hosted by the University of Cape Town’s School of Education. It takes place on the 2 & 3 September in the Leslie Social Science Building on UCT’s Upper Campus. The registration fee is R100. E-register online at www.esrrc.co.za.
Two pre-conference workshops support postgraduates to present at the conference. The first, an Abstract Writing workshop (25 June) helps students prepare their abstracts for submission, and the second, the Presentation Skills Workshop (13 August), assists students in preparing to present at the conference. Attendance at the workshops is free. Please apply online at www.esrrc.co.za.
Postgraduate students with an interest in education are invited to submit abstracts speaking to the conference theme, Shared Spaces; Contesting Voices. Please submit your abstract by 13 July online at www.esrrc.co.za.
