Short Courses

Staff and Research Associates in the Department frequently offer short training courses (workshops) focused on specific arthropod groups, research concepts, or production methods. These courses are delivered at postgraduate level and are open to researchers and staff from industry as well as research institutions. The aim of the short courses is to support capacity development and promote knowledge exchange.

All short courses are accredited by the University’s Short Courses Division to ensure quality standards are maintained. Training events are generally conducted in one of the department’s laboratories, which are well equipped with work benches, stereo and light microscopes, monitors, and projectors. Depending on requirements, additional laboratories may also be utilized as part of the training.
