Master's by Thesis - a research degree

Welcome to the Masters by Thesis journey. As a research degree, this programme consists of the successful independent design and execution of a research project reported on in a thesis. The infographic on the left summarises the submission dates for research masters degrees in the SU Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (FMHS).

  • The SU Postgraduate Office's Research Degree Toolkit provides a valuable overview.

  • The infographic on the left summarises the submission timelines for master's by thesis degrees in the SU Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (FMHS). Click on the image or here to view a larger version.

  • These estimated timelines apply in cases where all submissions are done prior to deadlines, and all examiners respond punctually and positively. In cases of slower submission or more substantial revisions, do expect delays.
