Dr Charissa Marsh (née Naidoo) leads microbiome research within the Clinical Mycobacteriology and Epidemiology (CLIME) group at Stellenbosch University whose work focuses on the human microbiome and its role in tuberculosis and related lung diseases. She also serves as the co-director of the African Microbiome Institute, helping to build microbiome science capacity on the continent.
