Mrs Shazneen Arnolds

Prof. Sandra Liebenberg (H.F. Oppenheimer Chair in Human Rights Law) and Prof. Juanita Pienaar (Acting Dean of the Faculty of Law) cordially invite you to the 20th Annual Human Rights Lecture. This year's speaker is Justice Rammaka Steven Mathopo, a distinguished member of the Constitutional Court of South Africa. Justice Mathopo will address the critical theme of Spatial Justice, examining how a transformative approach to housing rights can address the historical and systemic inequalities that continue to shape the South African landscape. The lecture aims to provoke thought on what it truly means to have "a right to remain" in a society striving for constitutional transformation.
