Dr André Gerber lectures Theatre Studies and Acting (first year), Playwriting (third year) and Directing (honours). A practising playwright and director, his research explores political satire in South African and Soviet-era Polish theatre, with further interests in verbatim and youth theatre, visual narrative, and contemporary creative practice. He co-runs the Première Theatre Festival.
