Biomedical Research Institute
The Tygerberg campus is home to the brand-new Biomedical Research Institute (BMRI), which is the largest and most sophisticated research complex of its kind on the African continent and in the Southern Hemisphere. The BMRI also received a four-star rating
from the Green Building Council of South Africa.
