Due to construction expanding to the northern section of the Administration A building during the summer recess, the Assessment Administration, Academic Records and Graduation Office (AARGO) will temporarily relocate for the first term of 2026. Students will still be able to access NARGA via the northern entrance to Admin A in 2026.  

Students are encouraged to rather send requests via email instead of visiting the AARGO offices. A2 and A3 assessment-related e​mail enquiries can be sent to [email protected]​.​​ Always include your SU student number in the subject line when sending email enquiries. Record-related enquiries can be sent to [email protected].

• The student user guide (Access Exam Table and Concession Letter on Student Portal) may help to resolve assessment-related enquiries. SUNStudent does not have a mobile-friendly interface yet and using a mobile phone to access information on SUNStudent may affect views. It is advisable to use your laptop/computer (and not your mobile phone) to access venue information on your assessment timetable in SUNStudent.​
• Marks for the A2 and A3 assessments, as well as the final end-of-year results will be communicated to students via the SUNStudent portal. Refer to the student guide — How to Access your Assessment (examination) Results — and follow the step-by-step instructions. For A3 assessments administered by the central Assessment Office, students will be able to see whether they qualify for an A3 assessment on the SUNStudent portal.
• For A3 assessments administered by an academic department or centre, qualifying students will be informed via SUNLearn or another channel as determined by the specific department. Contact your lecturer or academic department if you are uncertain.
• The SU Client Services Centre is the first port of call for enquiries and support. Please feel free to call 021 808 9111 or email [email protected]. Please note that the Client Services Centre is temporarily based in the Inorganic Chemistry building in Bosman Street (directly opposite Huis Marais) due to the refurbishment of Admin A.
• If you have any queries regarding assessments, please send an email to [email protected]. The Assessment Office has relocated for the first term of 2026 due to construction in Admin A.
• For assessment concession queries — including new emergency concession requests — please send an email to the Disability Unit: [email protected]. Remember to include your student number in the subject line. Students can access their assessment concession letters via the SUNStudent portal. Refer to the student user guide for step-by-step instructions.
