About Us

At the CTL our primary role is the professional learning of academics at Stellenbosch University (SU), with regard to their teaching role. We focus on teaching-learning-assessment (TLA) at SU. 

As such, our core responsibilities include offering professional learning opportunities for SU academics such as short courses on various TLA topics, including PREDAC (Professional Educational Develoment for newly-appointed academics). We govern TLA policies, provide resources and encourage and participate in research in the field. We also administer funding opportunities and run recognition programs, fellowships and awards for SU teaching staff. If you would like to know more about what we do, follow the links below: ​​
