For the full 2026 registration period the core registration team, all service units involved in registration and support entities will be based in the Coetzenburg Centre to offer a one-stop student service centre. Work areas will be demarcated for the Centre for Academic Administration, Student Information System Support, Student Accommodation Office, Client Service Centre, Central Application Office, Stellenbosch International, Student cards and Student Finance (bursaries and student fees).

The registration hub will be set up from 8 – 11 January 2026, and be fully operational from 12 January until 20 February 2026 through the admission, registration and module amendment periods.

“The Coetzenburg Centre was chosen as the ideal venue as it offers a more controlled environment, sufficient parking, and reduced exposure to disruptions, while providing the necessary space and infrastructure to support the registration process effectively,” says Mr Ashmind Daniels, Deputy Registrar: Centre for Academic Administration.

The regular shuttle service for staff and students between the parking bays at the Conservatoire of Music (Konservatorium) in Neethling Street and the Coetzenburg Centre, will include a modified vehicle fitted with assistive devices.

Additional security measures will be arranged, and following the graduation model, food vendors will be on site for the full registration period. Maties FM, Pokkel and the Maties pop-up shop will facilitate student engagement and provide entertainment to enhance the registration experience, especially during peak waiting times.

Key dates and activities

Online registration support
•    12 January 2026: online registration opens for senior undergraduate (excluding transferring students) and postgraduate students.
•    22 January 2026: online registration opens for newcomer first-year students.

Assisted registration on the Stellenbosch campus
•    26 January – 6 February 2026: assisted registration for senior students (including transferring students), as per the faculty schedules.
•    2 – 3 February 2026: assisted registration for newcomer first-year students, as per the faculty schedules.

Registration amendments
•    9 – 20 February 2026: module amendments for all faculties.
