​Stellenbosch University and the Faculty of Engineering have taken note of social media posts of a racist remark by a student. The matter has already been referred to the Equality Unit for immediate investigation and will be treated with the seriousness that the situation demands. Racist language is unacceptable not only in terms of the Student Disciplinary Code but also in terms of the Constitution of South Africa.
