'Vensters' 2016 wants to bring people closer
Stellenbosch will once again be a hive of activity when thousands of visitors from all over the Peninsula will come to see new Maties perform in the annual Nedbank "Vensters" at Stellenbosch University tomorrow (Friday 29 January 2016).
"Vensters" is a highlight on the MAD² calendar – a fun, student-driven, fundraising project in aid of Maties Community Service (MCS).
Colourful performances will run form 17:00 until 21:30 in 10 minute intervals – giving visitors the opportunity to see as many shows as they like. For this colourful event residences team together to impress audiences and judges with innovative and creative storylines and dance moves.
Entrance bracelets cost R20 each and can be bought at any of the venues.
From 21:00 there will be a festival at the Wilgenhof residence where the announcement of the winners will take place shortly before midnight.
According to Daniele Bezuidenhout, Chairperson of MAD², the theme for this year's Vensters is "Connected". "In a world where the younger generations are constantly connected with an overwhelming bank of knowledge and information, we are confident that visitors can look forward to seeing some inspired interpretations of the theme."
