​Twelve members of the Maties Netball Club were included in the 2016 Southern Stings squad.

The Southern Stings compete in the annual Brutal Fruit Netball Club.

The Maties in the group are: Anandie Burger, Carla Werth, Charmaine Baard, Jo Prins (photo), Juline Rossouw, Megan Gossmann, Nichole Taljaard, Remina Stephan, Sasha-Lee Petersen, Stephanie Brandt, Cindi Pretorius and Abeline Olivier​.
