The first 10 candidates who successfully completed the SoEL short course received their certificates at a celebratory ceremony on 12 April 2019 from Prof Arnold Schoonwinkel (Vice-Rector: Learning and Teaching). The short course in Scholarship of Educational Leadership was offered over a one-year period to staff members who are in educational leadership positions.
