On-campus registration at Stellenbosch University

Korporatiewe Bemarking
25 January 2016

Thurday 28 January 16:30

Registration on the Stellenbosch Campus concluded this afternoon. Yesterday (Wednesday 27 January) there was an attempt to disrupt the registration process (more information here). A group of about eight to ten students made their way into the Admin A Building at about 14:45 as part of a protest action. The group was protesting the issue of fees payment. The group did not disrupt the registration process but did intimidate other students trying to make payments. Staff members of the Centre for Student Communities engaged the group and at 16:30 the students left the building on their own accord.

Further contingency plans were put in place to ensure that the registration process continue.
