Venice International University Globalisation Programme

Lectureships in the Globalization Programme

VIU invites professors and experienced scholars from SU to apply for lectureships within its Globalization Programme. Selected faculty will have the opportunity to teach one or more courses during a semester or summer session at VIU’s international campus in Venice, contributing to an interdisciplinary curriculum in a truly multicultural academic environment. Course proposals are welcomed from disciplines across the humanities, social sciences, and sciences.

Proposals for Intensive Graduate Activities

VIU encourages SU faculty to propose intensive graduate activities, including PhD Academies, Graduate Seminars, and Summer/Autumn/Winter Schools. These intensive programmes bring together doctoral candidates, early-career researchers, and faculty from around the world for focused exploration of interdisciplinary themes and collaborative learning.

INU Researcher Mobility Program 2026 

The call for applications are currently open for the INU Researcher Mobility Program 2026

  • 5 awards of up to £1,700 are available
  • Early career researchers (who have completed their PhD within the past 5 years) employed at INU member universities are invited to apply for a mobility grant to collaborate in research at another INU member university.
  • The purpose of this program is to develop joint research initiatives between two INU member universities, with a view to further expand to multilateral research collaborations with other INU member universities in future.

Nordic Africa Institute African Scholarship

Early-career SU PhD candidates and postdoctoral researchers in the Social Sciences and Humanities are invited to apply for a fully funded research residency at the Nordic Africa Institute.

The programme offers a 2–3-month stay in Uppsala, Sweden, providing airfare, accommodation, a subsistence allowance, and access to the Institute’s specialised library and research networks.

This opportunity is designed to strengthen Africa-focused research, foster academic collaboration and provide scholars with an international research environment.
