The Division for Social Impact secures Stellenbosch University a Grant for Engaged Universities
The Division for Social Impact has secured a grant to serve as a host satellite campus for the upcoming Talloires Network Leaders Conference (TNLC2021) 30 September – 3 October 2021. The theme of this year's gathering is “Global Universities, Local Impact: Power and Responsibility of Engaged Universities."
The Grant for Engaged Universities is a grant program intended to increase access and participation. This is the 5th global conference and is expected to draw participants virtually from all regions of the world to critically reflect on the power and responsibility of engaged universities to work together, and in partnership with communities to address global challenges sustainably and equitably.
Through workshops and plenary sessions, the conference will explore how universities can contribute to a healthier, safer and more sustainable world; how to assess that impact; and how to strengthen it. Together, participants will critically reflect, exchange ideas and collaborate on strategic planning efforts for action on important and interrelated issues, including Pandemic Recovery and Resilience, Conflict and Inequality, Climate Justice, Assessing Engagement, and Civic Engagement Futures.
