If you want to become a high school teacher, you first need to obtain a degree from one of the other faculties and thereafter enrol for our one-year Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE).

The Faculty encourages you strongly to take at least two teaching modules.

Minimum admission requirements – NSC/ IEB

Two subjects as teaching modules are required for admission. Each teaching subject must meet the entry requirements of the specific teaching subject. All teaching modules are not available every year: a minimum number of students per teaching module is required.

- Entry requirement: a degree NQF level 7 with two teaching subjects.
