Director: Financial Planning and Budgeting

The Financial Planning and Budgeting division ensures the effective allocation and management of SU's financial resources. The division also manages remuneration processes, coordinates seconded accountants to support various departments, and oversees the management and recovery of debtors, ensuring fiscal responsibility and operational efficiency.

The Purchasing and Provision Services division is responsible for ensuring efficient and transparent procurement processes through purchasing and tenders management. The team coordinates removal services to support relocations and asset movements, and manages creditors to ensure timely and accurate payment processing. Deputy Director: Student Fees and Debtors

Student fees, bursaries and debtors manages the full lifecycle of student financial interactions, including the administration of tuition and fee payments, coordination and disbursement of bursaries and financial aid, and the monitoring and collection of outstanding debts. By providing clear guidance and support, the team ensures students can navigate their financial responsibilities while maintaining the institution’s financial stability.

Financial services oversee various financial operations, supporting daily functions and long-term planning. The team handles financial services, including student and staff reimbursements, financial reporting, and research finance. They manage the institution’s financial health through careful budgeting, external audits, and investment oversight. Additionally, they are responsible for asset management, capital project funding, insurance coverage, and treasury functions, ensuring that all resources are effectively allocated and safeguarded.
